Abilene was a Chicago-based post-hardcore band formed in 1998 by Alex Dunham, (ex-Hoover), Craig Ackerman (ex-Lustre King), and Scott Adamson (ex-Chisel Drill Hammer). They released their first album in 2000.
Dunham's former Hoover bandmate, Fred Erskine (June Of 44) joined the band by the time they recorded their second, and last, album, "Two Guns, Twin Arrows".
